See the priest hole in the main foyer of the house was amazing. It seems totally something Jamie would think of considering he grew up in a house with a priest hole. I hope we see it used in the future.
“The interior aspect of the shoot-out featured a mixture of compressed air rigs to throw debris across the rooms, such as shot out windows (sugar glass and balsa) and writing paper from the bureau and we also had a couple of air rams to throw bureau doors open that would then blast paper and debris into the air – as if it had taken a couple of gun shots from behind. So, all of this combined with our regular bullet hit sparks and squibs looked quite convincing – and was also very loud!”

The exterior element of the shootout posed issues as the feather boards would have disintegrated and become unusable if it rained. To overcome this issue, we used the actual cladding from the exterior of the house. This process involved creating the bullet shaped hole, thoroughly sanding away any splinters, filling this with tiny pieces of balsa wood and then painting. Although this process took much longer than usual, the end results were great!”
