In chapter 22, Jamie shows Claire the Bible he was given at Fort William. The Bible has Alexander William Roderick MacGregor written inside it. We don’t meet any of the others until much later into the series at Ardsmuir.

Colum gave her a Jet rosary at dinner after she birthed the horse. I believe Colum knew that Jet is seen as an anti-witch stone and should burn Claire if she is a witch.

Angus Mohr hits Jamie in the face until he bleeds when Jamie steps in for Laoghaire. Ned Gowen is the lawyer. Dougal stood next to Colum and Rupert was likely no where around.

She finds tortoise shell combs in his cupboard along with his wig and sand. There were letters in a drawer.

When Claire is brought to the chapel to marry Jamie she realizes that in the future she married Frank in the same chapel only now it looks newer.

Dougal suggests the dummy for her to stab. Murtagh thinks she should poison her victim and Rupert puts the teaching into practice. I’m not sure they mention Jamie much.

Dougal taught Jamie to fight with his left hand, being a leftie also. William Murray convinced Brian to let him be taught.

Je suis prest is the Fraser Clan motto and Tulach Ard is the MacKenzie battle cry. Da Mi Basia Mille is the inscription inside Claire’s ring. So is is definitely Lucco non uro.

Claire is about 5 years older than Jamie and Claire tells us that Frank was about 15 years older than Jamie making Frank about 10 years older than Claire.

Claire came through on May 1st which is also Jamie’s birthday.

Dougal is married to Maura which we find out upon her death.

In Chapter 15, we are told that Dougal’s house is called Beannachd which means Blessed in Gaelic.
