When Jamie is bitten by a venomous snake, Claire fears she may not have the resources to save him. Jamie asks Roger to complete an important task in the event of his death.
We Stand With Sam
I am truly saddened to even think the cast members of Outlander have to even put up with the harassment of others. It makes me sick. #WeStandWithSam I am extremely proud of @SamHeughan for taking a stand. Know true fans love you!
I’m a truly saddened by fact Sam Heughan felt he had to post about bullying, not because he shouldn’t, but because people in this world seem to think it is okay to harass someone else. I can’t even believe these people are fans of any kind. I can’t even believe they are decent to treat anyone else is such an abhorrent manner.
Outlander Watch stands with Sam on this. Bullying will not be tolerated.
BTS: 508 Famous Last Words
Check it out. Claire’s medical corner of the cabin is now Bree’s art corner. And look at all the touches to make it look like Bree’s styling. I love it. Not only that but Lallybroch is represented!
Remember those tarot cards Marsali was using. Here are the two of note for the episode. The Hanged Man and The Lovers.

BTS: 507 The Ballad of Roger Mac
Did you love seeing the beginning of the battle? I really did. Watching the first line fire and then the second step forward to fire after while the first line reloaded. I have to admit I never understood how this worked until Outlander showed us. And 400 shots fired while filming. So neat!
Recap: 507 The Ballad of Roger Mac
The Regulator Rebellion reaches a boiling point, forcing Jamie to face his fear and confront the consequence of his divided loyalties.
BTS: 506 Better to Marry than Burn
Was it organic that we go from Murtagh to Duncan Innes? I don’t really think so even though I completely understand why Jocasta is rejecting Murtagh. But Duncan hasn’t been around to let us see him as an option.
The ring scene was… I don’t even know. Why would Philip ask for her rings? Because he admired them? I just think that is a stretch.
Recap: 506 Better to Marry than Burn
At Jocasta’s wedding, Jamie learns Tryon’s true motivation for ending the Regulator threat.
Scotland 1746
A coach is racing across the countryside when it is stopped by English dragoons. A man exists and explains they are fleeing the area of Culloden. His wife and daughter are required to leave the coach and we realize his wife is Jocasta. The dragoons are charged with checking all coaches by the Duke of Cumberland. One dragoon search inside but finds nothing and they are told they can move on. As the daughter (Morna) goes back to get in the coach she steps in mud and the dragoon leans down to assist her finding a chest of French gold under the coach. Jocasta seems surprised by the gold. Hector pulls a gun and the coachmen does as well shooting the lead dragoon. Hector’s shot goes astray and kills Morna. Hector Cameron forces Jocasta back into the coach as they flee.
French Gold: Hector Cameron
While fleeing from Scotland after Culloden, Hector and Jocasta Cameron appear to be in the custody of a trunk of the Frenchmen’s Gold. Jocasta seems surprised by it’s presence and it is believe Hector uses this gold to finance River Run after they come to the Colonies.
If Hector and Jocasta took a trunk of the French gold to the Colonies after Culloden then what was the trunk on the Selkie Island? Is there more than one trunk of gold?

BTS: 505 Perpetual Adoration
Adso is such and adorable “wee cheety” as Jamie would put it. I love it. I miss Rollo though. OMG, I loved ‘The Impetuous Pirate’ in the episode. It is actually in the book Voyager. It was in the surgical lounge and Claire’s reading it and it is a very naughty book. Joe is sitting across the way and when Claire is shocked by the love scene, Joe asks if she got to a specific page. It is just a great addition.
Recap: 505 Perpetual Adoration
