BTS: 704 A Most Uncomfortable Woman

Check out the address of Lallybroch and meet the new Jemmy and Mandy.

Lallybroch

Lallybroch was given a home address this season for use on Brianna and Roger’s documents throughout the renovation. The job of giving an address was given to non-other than Herself, Diana Gabaldon.

We are also introduced to the MacKenzies’ brown, white, and orange trailer.

Wilson & Son

The name of the building company renovating Lallybroch, “Wilson & Son,” was named after Outlander producer Michael Wilson. You can see the business name on the side of the builder’s van parked outside when Roger arrives at the start of Episode 704.

Roger’s Costume

Time travel means we get to see Roger in the clothes of the 70s and 80s! And not only the clothes but the facial hair! Hair and Makeup Designer Ann McEwan described the “trim and modern beard” as “a big jump for Roger.”

Jemmy & Mandy

Now that we’re in the 80s, it’s time to introduce our older Jemmy and Mandy: Blake and Rosa!

William’s Injury

Any prosthetic of a wound starts with a discussion with the medical advisor on what it would look like in real life. From there, the teams work their magic to make you squirm in your seats… I know I did when I saw William’s arm!

Quakers Costumes & Homes

Just because the Quakers dressed simply doesn’t mean their costumes were simple to make! Costume Designer Trisha Biggar described Rachel’s bonnets as the most complicated pieces this season, having to strike a perfect balance between shielding her but having her show on screen.

Quaker homes weren’t driven by aesthetics but rather by utility. Find out how the team approached the Hunters’ cabin.
