Certainty of Future

At Lodge, Cunningham shares a strange story that his dead son came to him and told him he’d live another seven years, which is why he knew he wouldn’t die killing the bear that killed Amy McCallum because he has 5 years left. Jamie knows something about being told the future and is suspicious of Cunningham and his intentions.

When Cunningham tries to capture and then kill Jamie, he believes he won’t die because of his interaction with his son. But the problem with prophecy is it doesn’t tell us everything.

Cunningham doesn’t die but becomes paralyzed when Buck MacKenzie shoots him to save Jamie. Cunningham might live another 5 years but it will be in a prolonged convalescence.

Can history be changed or can it be fulfilled with changes?
