Jocasta MacKenzie became Jocasta Cameron when she marred John Cameron. After John did she married his cousin Hugh Cameron. When Hugh died she married Hector Cameron who she came to the Colonies with. After Hugh died, Jocasta didn’t marry for a while until Jamie and Claire were part of her life. She then married one of Jamie’s close friends Duncan Innes.

MacKenzie to Cameron to Innes. So only twice.

Diana appeared in the first season episode The Gathering. She portrayed a wealthy merchants wife named Iona MacTavish.

Jamie and Claire meet many historical figures on their adventures. They’ve meet George Washington, Benedict Arnold, Louise de Rohan, King Louis XV, Lord Lovat, Simon of Beauly, Governor Tryon, Edmund Fanning, Herman Husband and James Hunter to name just a few. But they have yet to meet Thomas Jefferson.

In episode 115 of Outlander, Wentworth Prison, Marcus MacRannoch tells Claire he’s the one who gave Ellen MacKenzie the pearls she has on her. In episode 110 of Blood of My Blood, Something Borrowed, MacRannoch sends Ellen the pearls as she prepares to marry Malcolm Grant.

Claire agrees to go aboard and help, but the Captain leaves with her on board. Since Claire is inoculated against Typhoid Fever she can’t get sick. She loses many of the crew but manages to help many.

When Claire first travels to the past it is May 1, 1743. Jamie’s birthday.

We learn in Outlander that Black Jack was born September 3, 1705. He died at Culloden which took place on April 16, 1746. He died short of his 41st birthday so was only 40 years old.

In the episode Eye of the Storm, Jamie and Claire are in a shipwreck. When they wake on the beach they are told they have washed up on the shores of Georgia.

In the book and the show, Murtagh won the tynchal by killing the boar single handed. His prize was the tusks which he had made into bracelets. After Brian and Ellen escape together, Murtagh gives the bracelets to Ellen as a wedding gift but it is a secret between them.

The title of Outlander in the UK is Cross Stitch and another working title was Stitch in Time.

Jamie and Claire sail on the ship “Artemis” when going to save Young Ian. Artemis is the Greek equivalent to the Roman goddess Diana.

The Fraser clan motto of Je Suis Prest is French. It means “I am ready.”
