While Henry fights in WWI and Julia works in the censorship office in London, their love story unfolds through the letters they write to each other.

Sealed With A Kiss (S.W.A.K.) is the loves story of Julia and Henry. We saw in Providence that Julia and Henry are in the past with Ellen and Brian—I have to admit I didn’t even realize they were in the past until I started watching this episode.
Love Letters
Julia and Henry meet through letters. Henry writes his letter to a newspaper; Julia is working in the War Office redacting things from letters for security purposes. As she reads, Henry’s letter speaks to her and she writes him back. The two start exchanging letters where they write S.W.A.K. on them which means “Sealed With A Kiss.”
When Henry gets a leave he goes in search of his love. And while Julia is on her way home from work the two run into each other.
After the war, the two marry and start a life together. Julia helps Henry through his bouts of PTSD, amidst them starting a family.
Julia Time Travels
When Julia falls through the stones—it is like a scene from the first episode of Outlander—she searches for Henry. When she can’t find him she writes S.W.A.K. on a stone with an arrow in the direction she’s gone and goes looking for help. But instead of help she encounters the worst people who knock her out, tie her up and head off to Simon Fraser. They own Fraser money, so they sell Julia to him! What the hell is wrong with people during this time thinking they can just sell people?
Julia meets Davina Porter, the maid—named for the audiobook reader of the same name. When Julia attempts escape, Brian stops her, but Simon’s man capture her. Brian takes the punishment for Julia showing us just who Jamie takes after. And we learn Davina is Brian’s mother.
Henry Time Travels
Henry comes through the stones but doesn’t find Julia nearby. He does see her SWAK message but finds himself at a tavern where the posted broadsheets tell him it is 1714—and this man just seems to accept it.
Henry can’t help but overhear a comment made to Malcolm Grant about land deeds which doesn’t ring true to him. Henry enlightens Malcolm which almost gets him killed. Malcolm comes to his rescue. Realizing Henry knows something about deeds, grants, etc., he takes him home with him to speak to his father. They want Henry to be their new Bladier. Turns out the last man was stealing from them. Isaac Grant makes Henry their new Bladier whether he likes it or not.
Henry isn’t keen on this but being a Sassenach in the Highlands of 1714 is dangerous so he agrees.
More Love Letters
Henry and Julia continue to write to each other from their respective lost locations. Julia believes Henry is still in their own time while Henry knows they both time traveled. Julia’s biggest concern at the moment is that she’s pregnant with Henry’s child.
